Dana White explains why he let Nate Diaz ‘Stockton Slap’ him

Recently, a video emerged of UFC lightweight Nate Diaz using the ‘Stockton Slap’ on UFC President Dana White. The clip left everyone stunned as they wondered why White would allow Diaz to slap him.

On the first episode of UFC Unfiltered, White recalled the situation:

“So what was happening is, we had just left and were heading back to the arena and we were on Crenshaw, and there was a place called the Turf Motel. It just came to me, I said pull the truck over, I want Nate to slap me. And Nate looked at me like, what the f—? You should have seen the look on his face when I said that. And then we pulled over and he started slapping away.”

Diaz is currently gearing up for his UFC 202 rematch with Conor McGregor on August 20th. That fight was officially announced at UFC 199, right after Diaz posted the video of himself slapping White.

Good to see Diaz and White on good terms after there was reportedly much tension between the pair during negotiations for the bout.
