Charles Oliveira eyes another UFC lightweight title push if he wins at UFC 326

UFC legend Charles Oliveira is eyeing up another push for the world title if he can pick up the win at UFC 326.
On Saturday night, Charles Oliveira will challenge Max Holloway for the BMF title in the main event of UFC 326. If he manages to pick up the win, it will serve as his first championship victory since the early days of his reign as the UFC lightweight champion.

While many are favoring Max Holloway to secure the win, Oliveira has the skills necessary to cause ‘Blessed’ some problems – especially if the fight goes to the mat. His jiu-jitsu is up there with the very best in the UFC, and he has the striking to hang with Holloway too.
In a recent interview, Oliveira spoke about his desire to try one more time to earn another opportunity at UFC gold.
Oliveira looks towards possible UFC title run
“For sure, this is a title – this is a belt,” Oliveira said at Wednesday’s media day. “The opportunity to take it down to Brazil is something that has never been done before by a Brazilian athlete. When I talk about legacy, and getting records and everything else, that’s what I’m talking about.”
“The first fight between us, let’s kill that one. He won that fight – that’s it,” Oliveira said. “Two great fighters, two legends, two guys that put on a show. We’re gonna put on a great show on Saturday.”
“Get the BMF, then get the title at lightweight, maybe go back to 145 – I don’t know,” Oliveira said. “We need some time to think this through, and everything else. One step at a time. Maybe there’s a possibility of it.”
