Rosas Jr will go head to head with Rob Font in his next outing at UFC 326 this weekend, in what many expect to be a pretty interesting youngster vs veteran collision. If he wins, then Raul will almost certainly find himself climbing into the top 15 rankings, something he’s been eyeing up for a while.
In a recent interview, Rosas Jr had the following to say about his next fight and what the future holds.
Rosas Jr is ready to prove himself in a big way
“Getting a top 15 opponent is what I’ve been looking for,” Rosas Jr. said at Wednesday’s media day. “I’ve been working so hard for this opportunity, and I’m ready to make the most out of it.”
“I expect him to come with everything because he’s trying to prove something,” Rosas Jr. said. “I’m trying to prove that I’m ready, that it’s my time, I belong here. And I know he’s trying to prove that he’s still here despite his age. We’re both saying, ‘despite our age,’ and we’re going to see what time it is, and I believe it’s my time.”
“He’s been in there, main events, through wars – so, that’s what excites me about this fight,” Rosas Jr. said, breaking down Font. ” Because, since I got into this company, I’ve been looking to test myself, so nothing more than to get started with Rob Font, because after this, I know only tough fights are going to come from here, so I’m ready to get started.”
