Daniel Cormier is set to defend his UFC light heavyweight title and will look to avenge the only loss of his professional MMA career against rival Jon Jones on Saturday in the main event of UFC 214. Both men have made weight and the bout is official for the what many are claiming the best card of the year, thus far.

Ahead of the fight, the stars took to the UFC 214 open workouts where Jones opted to just sign autographs for fans. Cormier did an open workout for fans and media and cut an exceptional promotion that had his fans pumped.

“I know my opponent came out here and signed some autographs,” said DC in the Octagon. “But, he didn’t work for you guys. I will work, and I will sign your autographs.”

The crowd in attendance was loving it, except for one vocal Jon Jones fan.

“He signed for 30 minutes,” added Cormier. “I’ll sign every one of your autographs!”

MMA Junkie caught up with the Jones fan who had his own words for DC and some gestures that he directed at the current champion. The Jones fan went on to claim that Cormier will lose his championship belt.

Cormier last fought in April where he defeated Anthony Johnson by rear-naked choke submission in the second round of their title fight rematch. The fight, however, did not go without controversy as Cormier was criticized for holding on to a towel to make weight for the fight.

Jones last fought in April of last year where he defeated Ovince St. Preux by unanimous decision. Jones and Cormier were scheduled to fight at UFC 200 in July of last year but Jones was pulled from the fight after testing positive for banned substances. Jones went on to blame the positive test on tainted male sexual enhancement pills but was still given a one-year suspension.
