Despite being UFC heavyweight champion, Stipe Miocic isn’t quitting his day job

Stipe Miocic realized his dream of becoming UFC heavyweight champion when he knocked out Fabricio Werdum at UFC 198 in Curitiba, Brazil.

Despite his new status and a UFC champion’s paycheck, Miocic hasn’t left his job as a Valley View fireman and paramedic in Cleveland, Ohio.

Miocic posted a photo to his Facebook page saying, “I’m the UFC Heavyweight Champion but I love helping people, I’ll never stop being a firefighter/paramedic. ‪#‎theChamp‬ ‪#‎teamMiocic‬”

Stipe Miocic will defend his title for the first time in his hometown of Cleveland at UFC 203 on September 10. Miocic will face Alistair Overeem in the main event of the evening.
