So we’ve come to the end of an amazing journey! It’s had it’s ups and it’s down, but finally it is all out there! No more secret keeping, no more dodging questions about who wins and who loses. It’s all out there. This episode we have the last semi-final bout between my good friend Raquel and Team Rousey’s Jessica. Interesting match up, being that Jessica only has 1 win in 5 fights. But, I feel like everyone really did under estimate her. I’ll admit, I was one of those people!
I felt like this fight had the makings to be a war. But, for some reason Raquel just didn’t let her hands go. Not sure if it was a mental block or if she was “hypnotized” by Jessica’s hands. Either way, Jessica looked AWESOME! In her first fight I felt like Jessica looked good but didn’t have a chance to really showcase herself. This fight she did!!! I was really blown away by how crisp and technical she looked. She was super accurate and always just slipped out of range. It was honestly quite the performance.
Being in the house I didn’t really get to enjoy the fight, since I was cheering for Raquel. But, watching it back now, I was very impressed. Still a close fight, but as the fight went on it got more and more onesided. Still a great way to cap off a great season!
