This week, UFC flyweight kingpin Demetrious ‘Mighty Mouse’ Johnson released a lengthy letter calling out the UFC brass for what he considered to be unfair treatment from the UFC.

He summarized his current situation, explaining:

Demetrious Johnson talks to Brian Stann

“I agreed to their tyrannical demand to fight Ray Borg and Ray also agreed.

UFC has refused to give me PPV points on any future flyweight bouts, and has never given me any PPV points on previous bouts. My request was fair and the matchmaker in charge of the flyweight and bantamweight division agreed.

I gave UFC fair conditions to change the fight to TJ Dillashaw and they refused.”

In addition, Johnson revealed that the UFC threatened to not give him PPV point for his future fights. Furthermore, Johnson alleges that UFC President Dana White threatened to dissolve the entire flyweight division.

The way TJ Dillashaw sees it, Johnson’s unwillingness to fight him comes down to him being scared. He spoke to ESPN:

“Don’t be scared,” he advised. “To me it’s like, you’re being a bitch about it. Tell the truth. You’re talking about how you don’t want to fight me for all these other reasons, but really you don’t want to fight me because you’re scared. Guess what man? You’re the greatest of all time. Put it out there. This is gonna be a historical event for you to try to break your record, let’s make this the real deal.

“Let’s make it against an opponent that’s gonna sell some pay-per-views, that’s gonna be a big draw,” he continued. “It’s just frustrating to see him backpedaling from this and it’s embarrassing for the sport for the greatest of all time to be avoiding the fight the way he is.”

“I feel like him fighting me will be able to fix a lot of his problems. He will get a pay-per-view cut. He’s actually gonna make the paychecks he’s earned. He is pound-for-pound best fighter in the world right now, and I think this is the fight to get him paid.”

Stay tuned for updates as they become available.
