Jon Jones isn’t hiding the fact that he isn’t satisfied with the NAC’s referee selection for his UFC 200 rematch with Daniel Cormier. Jones’ team initially appealed the referee selection, however they ignored his concerns and moved forward with McCarthy as the referee for the bout. During a media scrum earlier this week, Jones explained why he doesn’t want McCarthy to be the referee for the fight, saying the he would “prefer any other referee but him.”

Tuesday afternoon, Sherdog revealed that Ferguson would be facing 8-0 UFC newcomer Landon Vannata, who trains at the Jackson-Wink MMA Academy.

Northcutt lost the bout, being submitted via Von Flue Choke in the 2nd round, putting an end to his undefeated streak. Now, ahead of his UFC 200 fight against Enrique Marin in less than two weeks, Northcutt believes that his loss to Barberena was merely a fluke.

Ahead of Jon Jones’ UFC 200 main event scrap with Daniel Cormier for the undisputed light heavyweight championship, Jon Jones petitioned the NSAC to change the referee for the bout. The NSAC ultimately rejected Team Jones’ proposal, and moved forward with ‘Big’ John McCarthy being the referee for the bout.

After much speculation as to whether or not he would return to the Octagon following his controversial split decision loss to Robbie Lawler for the welterweight championship, Carlos Condit will be returning to the Octagon at UFC 202 on August 20th to fight Demian Maia. While Condit is going into the bout after a loss, Maia will enter the contest on a 5-fight win streak that saw him most recently submit Matt Brown at UFC 198 in Brazil.
