UFC 204 Sells out in 6 Minutes

Earlier this year, England’s Michael Bisping shocked the world by flattening Luke Rockhold to win the UFC middleweight crown. From there, logic suggested the Brit would defend his title in a rematch with Rockhold, or against another top-flight middleweight in Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza or Yoel Romero. Instead, the next middleweight title shot was awarded to a 46-year-old Dan Henderson. The aging vet will take on Bisping in Manchester, England, in the main event of UFC 204 this October 8.

Earlier this week, rumors began to swirl that former middleweight champion Chris Weidman would be taking on Yoel Romero at UFC 205 in NYC this November 12. When Romero posted a photo of himself signing a contract (which he has since deleted), these rumors only gained credibility.

Despite the photos of Gall with stitches in his eyebrow, the fight proceeded as planned. Wednesday afternoon, following his ‘UFC 203 open workout’, Mickey Gall addressed media members for a media scrum. It didn’t take long for Gall to be questioned about the stitches in his eyebrow.

In this incident, McCall’s opponent, Ray Borg, has been pulled from Saturday’s UFC 203 event due to an illness according to Fox Sports. This marks the second time in a row that McCall has been left without an opponent with just days to go until fight night.
