Things got very tense at Thursday’s pre-fight presser when Fabricio Werdum and Travis Browne squared off for the cameras.
Werdum, who’s normally got a smile on his face, got right into Browne’s face and started jawing at him in Portuguese.
“I will break your face, bastard,” Werdum told Browne. “… I’ll break your rib, clown. You know I will break you. You know I will break you. You know that.”
The recently unseated heavyweight champion seemed fired up and downright aggressive during Thursday’s face-off. Werdum lost by knockout to Stipe Miocic only four months ago at UFC 198, and may be looking to make a statement on Saturday night against Browne, a man who he has some history with.
Travis Browne and Werdum fought for the first time in 2014 in a fight where ‘Vai Cavalo’ mopped the floor with Browne en route to a lopsided decision victory. Both men are coming off of devastating losses, as ‘Hapa’ too was defeated by TKO at the hands of Cain Velasquez at UFC 200.
Has Browne improved enough since their first fight? Or will Werdum right the track and get back into the win column? Sound off, PENN Nation! This article appeared first on BJPENN.COM
