UFC middleweight champion Michael Bisping is an extremely polarizing figure. ‘The Count’ is never one to shy away from speaking his mind, even when it means he faces backlash from his fellow fighters, or the MMA community. For example, after his UFC 204 win over Dan Henderson in Manchester, England, last month, Bisping took time out of his post-fight Octagon interview to shred the rest of the top ranked middleweights. Despite a 5-fight win streak that has seen him go 3-0 over the course of 2016, winning the middleweight championship by knocking out Luke Rockhold on just two weeks notice before then defending the belt just months later by defeating Dan Henderson via unanimous decision in the main event of UFC 204.

The UFC has been split between putting together the big money fights versus the top contenders challenging the champions, especially with UFC star Conor McGregor in the mix. Multiple fighters have voiced their resentment of some of the recent title fights that have been put together recently such as Eddie Alvarez vs. Conor McGregor and Amanda Nunes vs. Ronda Rousey.

UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley is set to defend his title for the first time at UFC 205, which takes place at New York’s Madison Square Garden on November 12. “The Chosen One” will take on #2 UFC ranked welterweight Stephen Thompson. Initially after winning the title over Robbie Lawler at UFC 201 in July, Woodley called for a “money fight” against Nick Diaz to which many criticized the new champion for the move with just winning the belt.

The historic UFC 205 event taking place in New York’s Madison Square Garden will go down next weekend. UFC featherweight champion Conor McGregor has a chance to make history when he meets UFC lightweight champion Eddie Alvarez in the center of the Octagon. If McGregor finds his hand raised over Alvarez on November 12, he will become the first fighter in UFC history to be a concurrent two-weight UFC champ.

While Conor McGregor currently reigns as the UFC featherweight champion, and is coming off a major win over Nate Diaz at UFC 202 to avenge the only loss of his UFC career, his UFC 205 opponent, UFC lightweight champion Eddie Alvarez, believes that McGregor hasn’t fought any big-name fighters.

“The Notorious” Conor McGregor and Eddie Alvarez were a part of a UFC 205 conference call with the media on Thursday. The two opponents had their verbal warfare going back and forth but one of the exchanges, in particular, was quite entertaining. McGregor was asked by a member of the media if he was preparing for Eddie Alvarez’s grinding wrestling style, which he had some trouble with against Chad Mendes at UFC 189 back in July of 2015.

UFC lightweight champion Eddie Alvarez is undoubtably a veteran of the sport of mixed martial arts. With a professional record of 28 wins and 4 losses that recently saw him capture the UFC lightweight championship earlier this year by knocking out Rafael dos Anjos in the first round of their scrap back in July, the lightweight champ is now set to headline arguably the biggest event in the history of MMA, UFC 205 on November 12th. Alvarez’s UFC 205 fight with featherweight champion Conor McGregor has already broken several Madison Square Garden records according to UFC President Dana White, despite the fact that the fight is still over a week away.

You might rely on judo technique like the harai goshi or ushiro goshi. Or, if you’re a complete maniac, you might attempt a maneuver like the one in the clip above, which is so quick and complicated that it’s hard to give a name. We’ll call it a scissor headlock takedown.

While #8 ranked featherweight Charles Oliveira has spent the majority of his UFC career competing at featherweight, ‘Do Bronx’ has been frequently criticized for being inconsistent in regards to his ability to make the featherweight limit of 145 pounds. Friday morning in Mexico City, Oliveira missed weight for his ‘TUF Latin America 3 Finale’ fight with Ricardo Lamas by 9 pounds. The miss made it 5 total for Oliveira over the course of his UFC career, with it being the 4th time he has missed weight, and still could potentially end up competing the following evening.

Diego Sanchez is known primarily for two things: his wild, all-action fighting style inside the cage, and his often bizarre behaviour outside of it. The latest display of his out-of-cage antics occured at the official press conference for UFC Fight Night 98, which will go down in Mexico City, Mexico this Saturday night. On the evening’s main card, Sanchez will welcome former Bellator title challenger Marcin Held to the UFC’s Octagon.

After UFC President Dana White announced that UFC featherweight champion Conor McGregor would be making the jump to lightweight to fight Eddie Alvarez for the lightweight strap at UFC 205 on November 12th, the UFC President revealed that McGregor would be making a “personal” announcement, “out of left field” following the fight. While there had been no word as to what McGregor’s big announcement would be, and Irish newspaper printed an article last month with information from McGregor’s camp stating that the champ would be taking over a year away from the Octagon following the fight in order to spend time with his girlfriend, Dee Devlin.

McGregor will make this effort in the main event of UFC 205, which will emanate from New York City’s hallowed Madison Square Garden on November 12. In advance of this historic showdown, McGregor and Alvarez recently joined the media for an entertaining, promotional conference call. Over the course of this call, the two talents got quite heated.

The long struggling team overcame a deficit of three games to clinch the series in game 7 with an 8–7 win in extra innings. This incredible comeback marked just the sixth time in World Series history that a team bounced back from a three-game shortfall to win the championship.

In May of this year, Croatian-American super athlete Stipe Miocic knocked out an over-aggressive Fabricio Werdum to win the UFC heavyweight title. Since then, the new champion has defended the title with a first-round knockout of heavyweight legend Alistair Overeem. After this busy stretch of action, Miocic has elected to take some time off to recharge. While he enjoys this well-deserved bit of R&R, the heavyweight division’s top contenders are all working hard to stake their claim at the next crack at his title.
