In a post-fight chat with MMAJunkie, the ever outspoken Johnson elaborated on his gripes with the fans, and blamed UFC President Dana White for the fans’ frequent disrespect of fighters.

Derrick Lewis isn’t the only fighter gunning for a scrap with Francis Ngannou. Mark Hunt also has his eyes on the French knockout artist, ideally this August, at the UFC’s rumored debut in Hawaii. “We’re looking to see if I can get Ngannou for August in Hawaii – that’d be great,” Hunt recently told Sporting News.

Nurmagomedov could not have been more dominant in this fight, grinding Barboza into dust for three, one-sided rounds. Yet in the opinion of fellow contender Kevin Lee, he didn’t actually look that impressive. Lee, who is set for his own fight with Barboza in April, has repeatedly criticized Nurmagomedov’s performance.

On Saturday afternoon, on the undercard of the UFC’s return to London, England, Scottish light heavyweight Paul Craig authored one of the most insane comebacks ever, surging back after being dominated for 14 minutes and 59 seconds to submit his foe Magomed Ankalaev with one second left in the fight. This bout marked the final obligation on Craig’s current UFC contract, and though his comeback win was truly incredible, he’s worried he won’t be offered a new contract, as he lost his two previous bouts in the Octagon rather decisively.

Over the last few months, hulking UFC heavyweight Derrick “The Black Beast” Lewis has made repeated callouts of recent UFC heavyweight title challenger Francis Ngannou. “My coach just believes that I would really destroy Francis. My coach don’t like Francis at all either. I believe that I’m better than Francis all the way around,” Lewis said in a recent interview with FloCombat. “Striking, grappling, ground game, submission, whatever. I believe I’ve got better conditioning than him. I’m better disciplined. I listen to my coaches. I really believe I could beat this guy.”

Alexander Volkov did not let his UFC London headlining showdown with former UFC heavyweight champion Fabricio Werdum go to waste. Though Werdum was able to give him some interesting looks early on, particularly on mat, Volkov came through with flying colors in the fourth, putting his decorated foe down with a pair of uppercut and a missile-like standing-to-ground strike. In the wake of this impressive knockout win, which stands out as the best of his career, the former Bellator heavyweight champion Volkov feels he’s earned a shot at the UFC heavyweight championship, which will next be contested when champ Stipe Miocic takes on Daniel Cormier at UFC 226 on July 7. Though Miocic and Cormier’s heavyweight title showdown is still a ways away, Volkov sounds content to wait for a shot at the winner – perhaps even this fall when the UFC debuts in Russia.

In the co-main event of last night’s UFC London card, Polish light heavyweight Jan Blachowicz avenged a 2015 decision loss to Jimi Manuwa, capturing a unanimous decision win over his British rival in the card’s Fight of of the Night. Although the UFC has yet to update its official rankings, this win is likely to propel Blachowicz to the uppermost reaches of the light heavyweight top-15. While Blachowicz suggested post-fight that he would happily give Manuwa a tie-breaking rematch, he later added that he’s also interested in a showdown with PRIDE legend and former UFC light heavyweight champion Mauricio “Shogun” Rua.

Last night, on the undercard of the UFC’s return to London, England, Scottish light heavyweight Paul Craig return to the Octagon opposite Russia’s Magomed Ankalaev. To say Craig had his back against the wall in this fight would be an understatement. After debuting in the Octagon with a first-round armbar of Henrique da Silva, Craig suffered back-to-back, first-round stoppage losses at the hands of Tyson Pedro and Khalil Rountree. In a matter of months, he’d tumbled from the ranks of the UFC’s most promising light heavyweight prospects to the undesirable company of fighters at risk of losing their jobs. As if the stakes weren’t already high enough, Craig’s London bout with Ankalaev also marked the final fight on his UFC contract, meaning a loss would almost certainly result in his being dropped by the promotion.

It was an absolutely electrifying showdown that saw Manuwa weather a huge, first-round knockdown to surge back in the second – during which he landed a kick that probably would have snuffed many other light heavyweights – and then lose a close third round.

Former featherweight champion Jose Aldo and long-time featherweight contender Jeremy Stephens have recently expressed mutual interest in fighting one another. From the sounds of it, the’ll get their wish. According to Sport TV and CanalCombat reporter Ana Hissa, Aldo has officially been offered a bout with Stephens. The bout is being targeted for the UFC’s June 17 return to the MMA hotbed of Singapore.
