Thiago Tavares feared he fractured his manhood in PFL 2 fight
Thomas Taylor - June 30, 2018
Thiago Tavares’ PFL 2 fight could not have gone much worse for him. After absorbing a low blow in the second round, he was given five minutes to recover. When he still wasn’t ready after five minutes, the bout was then ruled a TKO win for his opponent Robert Watley. Had the fight occurred pretty much anywhere but Illinois, the bout would have been ruled a no-contest, but the bizarre Illinois rules meant a loss for Tavares. The good news is that Tavares escaped the bout without any serious damage to the contents of his cup. This is something he was worried about after the blow landed.

Francis Ngannou is open to future rematch with Curtis Blaydes
Tom Taylor - June 29, 2018
Curtis Blaydes has looked unstoppable of late, but his rise through the UFC ranks has not been entirely flawless. In his first UFC bout, Blaydes experienced a tough, doctor stoppage loss to Francis Ngannou — and it’s a fight he’s wanted to get back ever since. “I’m not really a fan of short camps or late notice fights,” Blaydes explained on a recent episode of BJPENN.COM Radio. “I won’t blame my loss to Ngannou on anything besides he was a better man that day, but I do feel I would have been better prepared had I had a full six to eight week camp as opposed to the three weeks I was given.”

Tito Ortiz makes prediction for Chuck Liddell rematch PPV buys
Tom Taylor - June 29, 2018
Tito Ortiz is expecting to make some serious money for his much-discussed trilogy fight with Chuck Liddell, which is likely to occur in Oscar De La Hoya’s new Golden Boy MMA promotion sometime later this year. “I think Chuck’s kind of holding out, trying to make more money out of it, which it just doesn’t make sense because this deal is pretty much a cut and dry contract,” Ortiz said of the fight on Submission Radio (transcribed Jed Meshew for MMA Fighting). “We’re both partners. De La Hoya wants his 40 percent and me and Chuck Liddell get to split 30 percent. So that’s on complete revenue of the whole fight in general. And this is the whole thing that I’ve been waiting for for such a long time in mixed martial arts, to really make a difference, and we’re gonna do that with De La Hoya and Golden Boy Promotions.”

Unfortunately for him, Saint Preux was ultimately able to recover and turn things around irrecoverably with a first-round submission victory. While this loss to Saint Preux was understandably very disappointing for Pedro, he’s determined to get right back into the cage, where he hopes to right his ship. He will not, however, be heeding the advice of the countless armchair coaches that offered him advice on social media post-fight.
