Another UFC fighter has been suspended by the United States Anti-Doping Agency. According to a USADA press release, UFC middleweight Brad Scott has received a two-year suspension after failing his UFC Liverpool drug test back in May.

Undefeated UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov improved to 27-0 earlier this month in Las Vegas, scoring a fourth-round submission win over Conor McGregor in the main event of UFC 229. Immediately following his victory over the Irish superstar, “The Eagle” proceeded to leap out of the octagon and attack McGregor’s teammate Dillon Danis.

At UFC 229, Conor McGregor made his long-awaited return to the Octagon when he took on undisputed lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov. Ultimately, the two years off of MMA looked to prove costly as Nurmagomedov defeated McGregor relatively easily by fourth-round submission. However, following the fight, McGregor has pleaded for a rematch against Nurmagomedov. Ali Abdelaziz, Nurmagomedov’s manager, seemed to shut down the idea of a Nurmagomedov vs. McGregor 2.

Last Saturday night, in the main event of Bellator 208, former UFC middleweight and light heavyweight title challenger Chael Sonnen stepped into the cage with heavyweight legend Fedor Emelianenko. Although Sonnen had some success with his wrestling in this fight, he was ultimately stopped in the waning moments of the first round, as Emelianenko unleashed a veritable meteor shower of ground-and-pound upon his head. Speaking on The MMA Hour on Monday, Chael Sonnen opened up on this loss. He says that, after being dropped early and pounded out on the mat, he’s in significant physical pain. No surprise there.

If Lee is able to win this mammoth showdown, she will become a two-division ONE champion. She’ll also reaffirm her status as one of the world’s best female fighters. Considering the amount of talented female fighters that are currently competing on the sport’s biggest stages, thats saying something.

UFC 232 is shaping up to be a great card. The end of year card always seems to have some of the biggest names in the UFC on it. This year is no different. In the main event, Jon Jones will be making his long-awaited return to the Octagon in a light heavyweight title fight with Alexander Gustafsson, while a women’s super fight will serve as the co-main event, as featherweight champ Cris Cyborg will defend her belt against bantamweight titleholder Amanda Nunes.

After much scrambling, the UFC was finally able to lock down a UFC 230 main event that most fans to be happy with. The card will be headlined by a heavyweight title fight between reigning champion Daniel Cormier and surging contender Derrick Lewis. Unfortunately, it took the promotion quite a while to arrive at this main event. That means that neither Cormier nor Lewis will have much in the way of time to prepare.

Alex Nurmagomedov, the uncle of Khabib Nurmagomedov, claims the UFC lightweight champion turned down a $15 million dollar offer to eventually rematch Conor McGregor, the man he just submitted in the UFC 229 main event. Apparently, Nurmagomedov has no interest in fighting McGregor again, and instead wants to fight Tony Ferguson and then retire from competition. “From the start, they offered him 15 million if he agrees,” Alex Nurmagomedov told  Russia’s Sport Express (via MMAjunkie). “But Khabib said no. Let Conor stand in line, let him fight with others. Khabib wants to fight Ferguson, and then finish his career.”

There is already plenty of buzz about a potential rematch between UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov and the man he defeated in the UFC 229 main event, former two-division champ Conor McGregor. Yet in the eyes of Daniel Cormier — a long-time training partner of Nurmagomedov— McGregor’s team would have a real ’cause for concern’ in this potential rematch. Daniel Cormier’s logic? Conor McGregor has already done about as well as he can do against Khabib Nurmagomedov — and that certainly wasn’t enough.

However, just weeks ahead of UFC 230, UFC fans got devastating news. Poirer had to withdraw from the event due to an injury. Speaking with Luke Thomas on the MMA Hour, Poirer revealed the injury was his hip. An injury that has been bothering him for quite some time.
