Paddy Pimblett tears into Arman Tsarukyan’s UFC title hopes

UFC star Paddy Pimblett has given his thoughts on Arman Tsarukyan’s hopes of getting a long-awaited UFC lightweight title shot.

Arman Tsarukyan has been waiting for a crack at the belt for a long time now, and one of the only real hurdles has been his relationship with the UFC. Arman has been involved in several incidents away from his fighting career that have caused controversy, with Dana White not being overly pleased with some of his antics.

Alas, there’s no denying that Tsarukyan is deserving of an opportunity to claim the gold, and the expectation from many is that he will be the man to challenge Justin Gaethje for the belt at some point in the near future.

In a recent interview, Paddy Pimblett wasn’t so positive when it came to discussing Tsarukyan’s title credentials.

Pimblett goes after Tsarukyan

“Arman Tsarukyan is a posh boy, helmet,” Pimblett said during a recent interview with UFC legend Demetrious Johnson.

“I’m not a big fan of his at all. I think he’s a f—ing idiot.

“I don’t even think he deserves the next title shot, lad. He’s beaten Dan Hooker in the past three years.

“He’s a great athlete. He couldn’t beat Gamrot. Last year, he got offered that rematch and said no. Imagine getting offered a rematch against someone who’s beat you, and you said no. Now that is a b—.  That is a b—- right there.

“Arman would have been closer to a title shot, beating Gamrot than beating Dan Hooker. Dan Hooker’s a bum, lad. Dan Hooker’s a proper bum. Dan Hooker can’t fight to save his life, lad.

“Michael Chandler knocked him out, and Michael Chandler’s not in the top 15 anymore.”
