Paddy Pimblett drops massive hint for UFC return for first fight since Justin Gaethje title loss
UFC star Paddy Pimblett has a couple of intriguing potential opponents in the mix after dropping a big hint about his return.
Paddy Pimblett’s unbeaten run in the UFC came to an end earlier this year at the hands of Justin Gaethje at UFC 324. In an interim lightweight title headliner, Gaethje outpointed Pimblett by unanimous decision to secure a showdown with Pimblett’s longtime rival Ilia Topuria.
It was a rare setback for Pimblett after nine consecutive wins in the UFC and Cage Warriors. He’s become a household name in the UFC since his debut and is one of the lightweight division’s fan favorites.
Despite the speed bump, Pimblett could potentially get right back into the lightweight title mix with another win or two against top contenders. Pimblett has also been a rumored potential opponent for Conor McGregor as McGregor prepares for his planned comeback this summer.
As speculation swirls, Pimblett dropped a big hint on social media.

In a recent Instagram post, Pimblett revealed two UFC fighters in his camp giving him southpaw looks.

“Great to have Dong Hyun Kim and Seokhyeon Ko in the gym today,” Pimblett posted.
“Some perfect rounds for me with some southpaws.”
Fans pointed to top UFC lightweight contender Benoit Saint-Denis as a likely answer to Pimblett’s tease. Saint-Denis and Pimblett were pitched as a potential fight for UFC 329 by UFC Hall of Famer Michael Bisping.
Saint-Denis has repeatedly expressed interest in fighting Pimblett throughout their rise in the lightweight division. The former Dustin Poirier rival most recently defeated Dan Hooker at UFC 325.
UFC 329 is expected to be finalized and announced in the coming weeks ahead of the promotion’s annual International Fight Week event.
