Dana White reveals Elon Musk will attend UFC Vegas 86 as the event is now closed to the public
UFC Vegas 86 will be closed to the public this weekend as Dana White revealed Elon Musk will attend Saturday’s card at the Apex in Las Vegas.
The UFC is hosting an event on Saturday before the Super Bowl, which will also take place in Vegas on Sunday. With that, there are hundreds of celebrities in Vegas this weekend and White says Musk will be watching the event on Saturday night. The main event of the card sees Jack Hermansson taking on Joe Pyfer in a middleweight scrap.
“It might have been Dallas we did a fight on Super Bowl weekend. To do it in our hometown, a no-brainer to have Slap Friday, UFC Saturday, and Sunday the Super Bowl is a no-brainer. The people that are in town that are going to these events are, I mean Elon Musk is coming to the fight on Saturday, you know what I mean?” White said on Radio Row to the Las Vegas Review-Journal.
With Elon Musk attending UFC Vegas 86, the event is now closed off to the public as tickets to the UFC Apex can not be bought. As well, the event is reportedly closed to the media, as Dana White is shutting it down for Musk.
Of course, last year Mark Zuckerberg attended a UFC event at the Apex and it was also closed to the public and media, so this isn’t anything new.
Elon Musk and Dana White also have a good relationship, as the UFC CEO was trying to make the Musk vs. Zuckerberg fight happen last year before it never came to fruition.
UFC Vegas 86 will start at 4 p.m. ET with the main card at 7 p.m. ET. The card that Musk will be attending is as follows:
