Though it was hurt by the last minute losses of a Donald Cerrone vs. Kelvin Gastelum welterweight bout and a Tim Kennedy vs. Rashad Evans middleweight bout, it still stood out as the most talent-rich card in UFC history. The lineup was topped by a lightweight title fight between divisional champ Eddie Alvarez and featherweight king Conor McGregor. Below this title fight were two others: a welterweight title fight between Tyron Woodley and Stephen “Wonderboy” Thompson, and a strawweight title fight between Joanna Jedrzejczyk and Karolina Kowalkiewicz. The rest of the card, finally, was packed with big names like Yoel Romero, Chris Weidman, Miesha Tate, Raquel Pennington, Frankie Edgar, Jeremy Stephens, Khabib Nurmagomedov and Michael Johnson.

Last night, on the undercard of the stacked UFC 205, Dagestan’s Khabib Nurmagomedov put his flawless, 23-o record on the line against venomous striker Michael Johnson. Though he was given some trouble by his foe’s striking in the early going, Nurmagomedov ultimately came out on top, brutalizing his opponent on the mat until he found an opening for a kimura in the third round. With this win, the Russian star now sits at a sparkling 24-0 overall.

Friday afternoon at the UFC 205 early weigh-ins, UFC featherweight champion Conor McGregor and UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley were involved in a brief situation which had the MMA community buzzing. While UFC featherweight champion Conor McGregor and UFC lightweight champion Eddie Alvarez both weighed-in on point for their lightweight title fight, and UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley & Stephen ‘Wonderboy’ Thompson both weighed-in for their welterweight title fight, McGregor and Woodley had a brief but tense moment as they came face to face.

While both men are slated to fight different opponents, one would think the pair are slated to fight each other. Backstage footage showed Woodley walking into the room, and McGregor eyeing him down. When Woodley noticed what McGregor was doing, he appeared to say something to him before walking off.

Footage of the moment showed Woodley walking past McGregor, who proceeded to eye down the welterweight champ as he passed by. Woodley recognized the situation and appeared to say something to the featherweight champ before walking off.

Back at UFC 202’s pre-fight press conference, “The Notorious” and Nate Diaz got into a crazy war throwing various objects including water bottles, energy drink cans, and a cup of coffee.
