Thursday afternoon in New York, UFC President Dana White hosted the final UFC 205 press conference before the fighters step foot inside the Octagon in the Madison Square Garden Saturday evening.
The press conference was a heated one from the start, with Alvarez walking out before McGregor arrived, and then returning to the stage to reclaim his title belt after McGregor arrived at the presser and proceeded to take the lightweight strap off of the table where Alvarez was previously seated. That incident, which nearly caused a massive brawl as UFC President Dana White and a security officer attempted to regain control of the situation before things escalated.
At the end of the press conference, McGregor and Alvarez came face to face for a staredown, with tensions at an all-time high despite the fact that both men kept their composure without things escalating.
