Paulie Malignaggi fires back at Askren, Sonnen after criticisms

Tom Taylor - June 30, 2019

Shortly after former boxing champion Paulie Malignaggi came up short to UFC veteran Artem Lobov in a bare knuckle bout at BKFC 6, he was criticized by MMA stars Ben Askren and Chael Sonnen. Both men made comments suggesting that perhaps boxers aren’t quite as skilled as we previously believed. Malignaggi has now responded to these criticisms with a challenge to both Askren and Sonnen. Tom Taylor - June 23, 2019

On Saturday night, in the main event of BKFC 6, Artem Lobov stepped into the squared circle for a bare knuckle scrap with former boxing champion Paulie Malignaggi. Despite being grossly less experienced in boxing than his foe, Lobov’s aggression and success in the clinch ultimately earned him an impressive, if slightly controversial decision victory. Report | FSAC won't allow BKFC to go full bare-knuckle for BKFC 6

Drake Riggs - May 20, 2019

The sport of bare-knuckle boxing (BKB) has been revitalized in 2019 thanks to the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC). However, their next event, BKFC 6, might not get to live up to its name. According to Cageside Press’ Adam LeBarr, the Florida State Athletic Commission isn’t 100 percent on board with the idea of no glove boxing. BKFC 6 happens to be scheduled to take place in Tampa, Florida on June 22 after being relocated from the upper New England area.

BKFC fighters Artem Lobov, Paulie Malignaggi exchange threats

Tom Taylor - March 13, 2019

Artem Lobov, a chief training partner and good friend of Conor McGregor, recently signed with Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC). Not long thereafter, BKFC inked a deal with former boxer Paulie Malignaggi, one of McGregor’s key enemies. To say Artem Lobov and Paulie Malignaggi are on a collision course would be an understatement. In fact, the trash talk between them has already reached a fever pitch.

BKFC 2 results: Bec Rawlings, Chris Lytle, Kendall Grove win big

Tom Taylor - August 26, 2018

Last night, Bareknuckle Fighting Championship returned with its second card, live from the Mississippi Coast Coliseum in Biloxi, Mississippi. Though excitement surrounding this BKFC 2 card was somewhat muffled by the buzz produced by UFC Lincoln and *shudders* Logan Paul vs. KSI, there were plenty of reasons to watch. The card, which was topped by a title fight between champion Bec Rawlings and challenger Britain Hart, also featured appearances from MMA notables Chris Lytle, Joey Beltran, “Felony” Charles Bennett, Kendall Grove and Tony Lopez — not all of whom were lucky enough to leave Wyoming with victories.
