Holly Holm has been all over the place since taking the UFC women’s bantamweight championship belt from Ronda Rousey at UFC 193. Holm was in attendance at the Canelo versus Cotto boxing match that happened over the weekend at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas.
Title Contender Tyson Fury: "Make Drugs Legal in Sports"

Tyson Fury from Manchester, England has a professional record of 24-0 with 18 wins by KO and will be fighting Wladamir Klitschko 64-3 with 53 wins by KO for the WBA, WBO, IBO and IBF belts. Klitschko seeks only the WBC title to achieve the heavyweight title unification this Saturday in Germany. With all the doping in sports, Fury has taken a reverse psychology approach to the fairness of testing and feels that in an “all or nothing” approach to sports, doping is his solution to fix the problem. Fury, in a statement, also stated that he does not use or condone the use of any performance enhancing drugs himself. “I can look at a man and tell you if he’s full of drugs by one glance at his body with his top off. Boxing has got a big problem with drugs, but it doesn’t bother me because at the end of the day, it’s about determination over drugs.”
Canelo Alvarez ready to fight Gennady Golovkin 'right now'

Canelo Alvarez (46-1-1, 32 KOs) has little time to bask in the glory of winning the WBC middleweight 160 lb. championship title. According to Bloody Elbow, the new champion has just 15 days to make a deal to fight interim champion Gennady Golovkin (34-0, 31 KOs), or risk being stripped of the title that he took home on Saturday night. According to Canelo, he is ready for the fight with Golovkin. Max Kellerman interviewed the new champ after the fight on the potential super fight (transcribed by Bloody Elbow):

Despite being the middleweight champion, Miguel Cotto (40-4, 33 KO) is coming into the fight with Canelo Alvarez (45-1-1, 32 KO) this Saturday as the underdog. After odds opened up at close to -200 for Canelo and +160 for Cotto, the odds are widening for the two prize fighters. As of Tuesday, four days before the fight, Odds Shark has Canelo at -305 and Cotto at +275.

The subject of brain trauma in combat sports has been picking up steam over the last several years. A 10 year study was conducted at the University OF Alberta Glen Sather Sports Medicine Clinic and then subsequently published in the Clinical Journal Of Sports Medicine, revealing that while more injuries occur in MMA fights, they tend to be superficial rather than deep trauma.
