He didn’t earn his “Layzie The Savage” moniker for nothing. That’s right folks, Layzie is indeed a Savage!
Training directly under the tutelage of Nate Diaz in Lodi, California, the BJPENN.COM videographer has been growing into the role of competitive grappler over the course of his time with the Gracie Fighter team.
Last weekend, competing at the Gracie invitational, instead of tapping out to this larger guy’s submission, Layzie turned Savage and got his arm broken!
Turn the volume up to hear the POP! Needless to say, our man Layzie was rushed to the ER and casted up!
OUCH!
This injury took place in the event’s absolute division, prior to the break, Layzie took home a second place medal in his proper weight class.
