Undefeated boxing legend Floyd Mayweather Jr. is the latest celebrity to dunk into an ice bath alongside comedian Kevin Hart as part of the hilarious “Cold As Balls” video series.
In a rather unsurprising twist, Floyd Mayweather and Kevin Hart eventually got to talking about UFC star Conor McGregor, who Mayweather defeated in the boxing ring in August of 2017.
“He’s the Caucasian Floyd Mayweather,” Mayweather began when Hart asked him about McGregor. “He’s a knock-off. He’s a hell of a knock-off version.”
While Mayweather has exchanged plenty of trash talk with Conor McGregor over the years, he actually ended up giving his Irish rival some props when Kevin Hart asked if there was any mutual respect between them.
“Yeah, I take my hat off to him,” Mayweather conceded. “I mean, he’s a dog.”
Floyd Mayweather also discussed McGregor’s initial protest of the stoppage of their fight. The Irishman stated he would have preferred to have been knocked out cold rather than defeated by TKO.
“I mean, I want the man to have a career after our fight,” Mayweather told Hart. “It sounded good when the fight was over.”
Finally, Mayweather also discussed the long-time rumor that he might step into the UFC’s Octagon and try his hand at MMA.
“Anything is possible,” he said. “I can go get a deal right now from the UFC — a three-fight, four-fight, billion dollar deal, if that’s what I wanted.”
What do you think of this conversation between Floyd Mayweather and Kevin Hart? Are you surprised to hear the boxer praising his long-time rival Conor McGregor?
