Former UFC heavyweight champion Jon Jones remains focused on a potential comeback despite losing out on a fight at the White House. Jon Jones and UFC CEO Dana White remain at odds after the UFC heavyweight champion publicly called for his release from the promotion after missing out on the upcoming White House card. Jones, who retired last summer following long negotiations to fight Tom Aspinall, reversed his retirement after U.S. President Donald Trump and White announced the UFC’s White House event.

Former UFC lightweight champion Anthony Pettis will return to the cage for the first time since 2022 at ORDA Global’s inaugural event. 39-year-old Anthony Pettis remains active in combat sports despite being well past his physical prime. In addition to promoting events via Showtime FC, Pettis has appeared in professional boxing and in the Karate Combat pit in recent years.

Matchroom Boxing’s Eddie Hearn’s ongoing feud with UFC CEO Dana White continued as he weighed in on Tom Aspinall’s current deal. UFC heavyweight champion Tom Aspinall made headlines out of the Octagon when it was announced that he had added Matchroom Boxing promoter Eddie Hearn to his team. Hearn will serve in an advisory role in Aspinall’s camp and could be a key presence in future negotiations with the UFC.
