Ilia Topuria isn’t interested in fighting Sean O’Malley next. O’Malley defended his bantamweight title for the first time on Saturday night with a masterful performance against Marlon Vera. It was a one-sided fight as O’Malley won all five rounds to defend his title with ease.

Curtis Blaydes has no plans to fight Ciryl Gane following his stunning UFC 299 KO victory. Blaydes had a huge moment in the featured preliminary bout on the UFC 299 card. “Razor” went one-on-one with Jailton Almeida. While Almeida had success with his grappling in round one, it ended up being his downfall in the second stanza. Early in round two, Jailton went for a takedown, but Blaydes unloaded with a series of punches that put his opponent out.

Sean O’Malley had a run-in with Merab Dvalishvili backstage at UFC 299, but “Suga” didn’t even know it was the highly-ranked bantamweight he was speaking to. O’Malley turned in a stellar performance at UFC 299 against Marlon “Chito” Vera. It was O’Malley’s first UFC Bantamweight Championship defense, and it went as well as he could’ve hoped for. While “Chito” was one tough customer, O’Malley had success on the outside and his striking was on display for five rounds. He scored the unanimous decision victory.

Interim UFC Heavyweight Champion Tom Aspinall has given an emphatic response to Curtis Blaydes’ recent challenge. Blaydes was in action in the featured UFC 299 preliminary bout. He took on Jailton Almeida , and things went awry for the Brazilian in the second round. When Almeida went for a takedown, Blaydes rained down punches to knock his opponent out.

Benoit Saint-Denis has spoken out following his knockout loss against Dustin Poirier at UFC 299. Saint-Denis was aggressive from the start and was right in Poirier’s face. He even had “The Diamond’s” back a couple of times, but the veteran instincts of Poirier won out in the end. Poirier knocked Saint-Denis out with a right hand in the second stanza. Despite the loss, fight fans are intrigued by Saint-Denis’ future.

He managed to knock the Frenchman out in devastating fashion in the second round, vaulting himself back into title contention in the process.

O’Malley turned in a masterful performance in his first successful UFC Bantamweight Championship defense against Marlon “Chito” Vera. O’Malley was able to pick “Chito” apart from the outside. It was a brilliant showing despite Vera’s efforts to make it a dog fight. The “Sugar” show won the fight via unanimous decision. After the bout, he called for a champion vs. champion showdown against UFC Featherweight Champion Ilia Topuria in Spain.

UFC CEO Dana White has given his take on the announced boxing match between Jake Paul and Mike Tyson. Tyson is a legend of the sweet science, but he will be 58 years old when he steps inside the ring with the 27-year-old Paul in an event that will air on Netflix. While no boxing expert believes Paul is a great prospect, his knockout power has long been proven and that could mean disaster for the far older Tyson on July 20. Some fight fans are having flashbacks to the 2021 boxing match between Evander Holyfield and Vitor Belfort, which saw “The Phenom” stop Holyfield, who was approaching 59 years old at the time, in the first round.

The highly anticipated men’s bantamweight title fight rematch resulted in an absolute masterclass from Sean O’Malley. While the fight ended up going the distance, O’Malley was able to put on a striking clinic, absolutely battering Marlon Vera for the majority of their twenty-five-minute affair. ‘Suga’ clearly had the speed advantage over ‘Chito’, which he utilized to control and smother the challenger.
