“I’m looking for Mexicans [to fight] at the Sphere on Mexican Independence Day. Yeah, no, I’m not doing that fight.”

Conor McGregor is the kind of fighter who can walk in and ask for just about any fight he desires. Diaz, meanwhile, is still enjoying life outside of the UFC bubble, but he’s not been shy about declaring his interest in a comeback down the road.

The event at the Sphere has the potential to be one of the most fascinating events in the history of the promotion. Given how unique it’s likely to be, it makes sense that the UFC would want to stack it full of high profile talent.
