Allycia Hellen Rodrigues fires shots at old foe Stamp Fairtex: “Come back to Muay Thai”

By BJPENN.COM Staff - March 11, 2024

Allycia Hellen Rodrigues has made it abundantly clear who she wants to face next.

ONE A New Breed, Stamp Fairtex, Allycia Rodrigues

Following the successful defense of her ONE Atomweight Muay Thai World Title against Cristina Morales at ONE Fight Night 20 on Prime Video last Friday, March 8, she issued a bold challenge to Stamp Fairtex.

“Stamp, I’m here. Come back to Muay Thai. Please, I want to fight with you again,” she said in her post-fight interview.

The history between Rodrigues and Stamp dates back to their intense clash in August 2020. There, the Brazilian vixen secured a unanimous decision victory. By doing so, she snatched the ONE Atomweight Kickboxing World Championship from the Thai fan-favorite.

Despite her victory over Stamp in their first encounter, Rodrigues finds herself drawn to the idea of having a rematch. The reason becomes apparent when considering the 26-year-old’s skyrocketing star power and her accomplishments in multiple disciplines.

As Rodrigues went on to solidify her reign over her division, Stamp shifted her focus to MMA.

In fact, Stamp made history in September 2023 when she defeated Ham Seo Hee for the vacant ONE Atomweight MMA World Championship. This saw her become the first-ever three-sport titleholder under a major promotion.

While Rodrigues may be eager for a second date with Stamp, she’ll have to exercise patience.

Stamp Fairtex slated for MMA title defense in June

Stamp Fairtex is currently gearing up for a high-stakes defense of her atomweight MMA crown against Denice Zamboanga on June 8.

This announcement was made during the broadcast of ONE Fight Night 20 on Prime Video.

As Stamp prepares for her upcoming bout, Allycia Hellen Rodrigues will have to bide her time.

At the moment, Rodrigues can only cling to hope. However, the Thai megastar has not been shy about her intention to return to Muay Thai and kickboxing.
