UFC featherweight champion Conor McGregor has been rumored to be in negotiations for a potential boxing match with all-time great Floyd Mayweather. Those rumors were initially shot down by UFC president Dana White. However, Floyd Mayweather Sr confirmed in a recent interview that Conor and his son have been in discussions about a potential end of the year boxing match.

Earlier this month tragic news surfaced that Bellator MMA fighter Jordan Parsons had been struck by a vehicle and was forced to have part of his leg amputated. An update was released that Parson’s had to undergo heart surgery, as the condition turned from bad to worse. Ultimately, Parsons passed away as a result of the hit and run incident.

Last month Conor McGregor was pulled from his UFC 200 main event slot after refusing to fulfill his media obligations for his fight with Nate Diaz. After a brief scramble, the UFC decided to have Jon Jones and Daniel Cormier fill the main event slot with their highly anticipated rematch for the light heavyweight championship. Jones took to Instagram to thank McGregor for the main event slot, and reveal an interesting bit of information about just what a UFC 200 main event fighter has to go through in terms of media obligations.

In addition to being one of the UFC’s top ranked middleweights, Kennedy is a is U.S. Army Special Forces member who has received the Army’s Bronze Star Medal with ‘V device’ for his valor shown while under enemy fire. Kennedy, who has yet to return to the Octagon since his controversial TKO loss to Yoel Romero, has also been targeted personally by ISIS. Despite that, Kennedy hasn’t backed down from speaking out about the terrorist group.
