While a boxing match between Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather is reportedly being discussed, the odds of a fight between the pair happening are rather slim given that McGregor fights in the UFC, and Mayweather is currently retired from boxing. Despite that, if a fight were to go down between two of the most powerful men in combat sports, famed boxing coach Freddie Roach would be willing to train Conor McGregor for the superfight.

While the MMA community continues to discuss a potential boxing match between UFC featherweight champion Conor McGregor and legendary boxer Floyd Mayweather, McGregor appears to be gearing up for a boxing match. McGregor, who was pulled from his UFC 200 welterweight rematch with Nate Diaz after refusing to fulfill his media obligations for the event, currently doesn’t have a fight booked, however it is expected that he will face the winner of UFC 200’s Jose Aldo vs. Frankie Edgar interim featherweight title fight.

$240,000 was the total payout by Reebok for the exclusive uniform deal with the UFC for the UFC 198 event that took place in Curitiba, Brazil over the weekend. This marks the highest paid card of 2016 for Reebok with a roster that included many pioneer stars and a championship bout. Haueter is one of the first American black belt jiu-jitsu practitioners and is a part of the “BJJ Dirty Dozen”, which is a group of 12 practitioners outside Brazil to achieve the rank of black belt in BJJ. Haueter received his black belt from Rigan Machado back in 1996.

Rodrigo Botti, a former trainer of UFC welterweight Matt Brown allegedly attacked Brown at his hotel in Brazil on Sunday after his UFC 198 fight with Demian Maia. Video was released of the incident following Botti’s alleged attack on Brown. The video shows a man who has been identified as Vinicius “Pequeno” Lemos punishing Botti for his attack on Brown.
