Emelianenko fought former UFC heavyweight Fabio Maldonado in Russia in what turned out to be an extremely back and forth fight. After being rocked in the first round, and nearly finished, Emelianenko managed to win the next 2 rounds en route to a majority decision win.

Anthony “Rumble” Johnson vs. Glover Teixeira will meet in the co-main event of UFC 202, next to Nate Diaz and Conor McGregor who will rematch in the main event of the evening. Johnson and Texeira were originally scheduled to fight on July 23, but Johnson was forced off that date due to some serious family matters.
