UFC middleweight champion Michael Bisping has always been a strong opposer of PEDs in MMA. When it comes to the topic, ‘The Count’ is never afraid to speak his mind on the matter, frequently throwing shade at fighters, especially ones he has fought, who have failed drug tests. On the heels of Yoel Romero’s phenomenal UFC 205 win over Chris Weidman this past Saturday, Bisping wants Romero to be drug tested once per week leading up to their fight given that he has failed a drug test in the past. With that being said, Romero’s failed drug test was deemed the result of tainted supplements, and resulted in only a brief suspension.

UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley joined host Chris Taylor on BJPENN.com’s Rapid Fire segment where he discussed his UFC 205 “fight of the night” title bout with Stephen ‘Wonderboy’ Thompson. The epic five-round war between ‘T-Wood’ and ‘Wonderboy’ was declared a 47-47 draw by two of the three judges in attendance, with the third judge awarding ‘T-Wood’ the decision by a score of 48-47.

Woodley gave up the photo opportunity after letting the UFC use his belt to lend to Conor McGregor to have for his historic moment.

When Nelson was forced out of this bout with an injury, however, the Belfast card received a new main event: a middleweight rematch between Gegard Mousasi and Uriah Hall.

This past Saturday in New York, the UFC hosted its inaugural event at the Madison Square Garden. The event was an action packed one from the start, with things quickly picking up on the main card as Vicente Luque and Tim Boetsch both picked up back to back first round TKO/KO wins to kick off the televised prelims. In the preliminary co-main event, Khabib Nurmagomedov picked up yet another win, extending his professional record to 24-0, with his UFC record now at 8-0. In the preliminary main event, former UFC lightweight champion Frankie Edgar returned the the win column following his UFC 200 interim featherweight title loss to Jose Aldo as he picked up an impressive unanimous decision win over Jeremy Stephens.
