Rashad Evans Advises Tyron Woodley to Quit Wasting Energy on Qualms with Dana White
Drake Riggs - February 12, 2018
Before Jon Jones came and took over the light heavyweight division, the 205-pound UFC title went through a revolving door of champions. From 2007 to 2011, the title was never defended more than once and saw five title changes. Right in the middle of what some called “the golden age” where 205 was one of MMA’s greatest divisions, The Ultimate Fighter season 2 winner, ‘Suga’ Rashad Evans obtained some of that gold. Evans was undefeated at the time and was a large personality who felt he wasn’t quite getting what he deserved. Something Evans believes is similar to the situation of a certain champion today. Evans spoke about the comparison today with MMAFighting:

Cejudo says if there’s one person he didn’t really like during that time coaching TUF, it was definitely Elliott:
Ben Askren Anticipates A Clash with Georges St-Pierre in Late 2019
Drake Riggs - February 12, 2018
As it stands right now, labeling the career of undefeated Bellator and ONE welterweight champion, Ben Askren a “mystery” wouldn’t feel very outrageous. How so? Everyone who has ever seen Askren fight can see how very clearly talented he was and is. The mystery just remains, “exactly how good was he?” Askren capped off his eighteen fight career in November fighting for ONE Championships and never stepping foot into a UFC octagon. Despite making it clear he’s retired, Askren has still left the door open to a possibility. Proving he truly was the best regardless of whether he fought for the UFC or not. To do so, Askren believes he must face one of the greatest of all time across all weight classes, Georges St-Pierre. Askren made a bold prediction when speaking with MMAJunkie today:
Urijah Faber makes prediction for possible Demetrious Johnson vs. TJ Dillashaw superfight
Tom Taylor - February 12, 2018
One of the most talked about fights in MMA at present is a possible flyweight superfight between divisional king Demetrious “Mighty Mouse” Johnson, and reigning UFC bantamweight champion TJ Dillashaw. As the former mentor of the bantamweight champ TJ Dillashaw, the probably-retired Urijah Faber is watching on intently as this possible scrap edges toward fruition. While Faber is a little more interested in Dillashaw’s options at bantamweight, he does believe Dillashaw can make the flyweight division’s 125-pound.
Don't rule out a Urijah Faber comeback fight just yet
Tom Taylor - February 12, 2018
It’s now been a little over a year since Urijah Faber’s retirement fight: a unanimous decision win over fellow veteran Brad Pickett. Yet while Faber is still enjoying his retirement, he’s never actually exited the USADA testing pool, which means the door to a comeback fight remains decidedly open. All it’d take is the right opportunity. Faber discussed his decision to remain in the USADA testing pool in a discussion with Submission Radio during a visit to Perth, Australia for UFC 221.

Classy Jake Matthews not holding any grudges after Li Jingliang's brutal eye-poke
Tom Taylor - February 12, 2018
One of the highlights of the UFC 221 main card was a welterweight war between Australia’s Jake Matthews and China’s Li Jingliang. This wild battle, which Matthews won by decision, dazzled onlookers and earned both fighters $50,000 Fight of the Night bonuses. Regrettably, this fight was also draped in controversy. Mid-way through the contest, Matthews locked up a guillotine choke that seemed to be quite deep. In a ditch effort to escape this choke, Li appeared to purposefully claw out at at Matthews’ eyes, gouging and poking in an immediately controversial display.

Tom Taylor - February 12, 2018
Last weekend, in the co-main event of UFC 221, Chicago’s Curtis Blaydes established himself as one of the heavyweight division’s top contenders with a decision win over legendary knockout artist Mark Hunt. While this win propelled Blaydes into the uppermost reaches of the heavyweight ladder, however, it almost marked the second last obligation on his current UFC contract. Now, Blaydes is looking ahead to the last fight of his contract. It’s his hope that the UFC will meet him at the negotiating table before this final contractual obligation occurs. If this isn’t the way things shake out, he’s prepared to field offers from Bellator, who would surely jump at the chance to sign a heavyweight of his caliber.

Tom Taylor - February 11, 2018
Last night, in the main event of UFC 221, former UFC and Strikeforce middleweight champion Luke Rockhold stepped into the cage with the dangerous Yoel Romero. If Rockhold had won this fight, he would have captured the UFC interim middleweight title and effectively guaranteed himself a fight with undisputed middleweight champion Robert Whittaker. Unfortunately for Rockhold and his fans, Romero was the better man in the cage on fight night. After two close rounds, throughout which Rockhold landed some meaningful offense of his own, Romero landed the shots that mattered most in the third. First, he knocked the former champion on his butt with a left hand. Then, he finished him off with one of the nastiest kill shots we’ve seen in some time.
