It has been rumored since June that an important welterweight clash was in the works. Well, that fight has now been made official. The fight in question was a matchup between elite contenders in the former UFC lightweight champion Rafael Dos Anjos (28-10) and the surging contender Kamaru Usman (13-1). The UFC made the fight official today for The Ultimate Fighter 28 Finale’s headliner on November 30.

Joanna Jedrzejczyk was supposed to fight Valentina Shevchenko for the women’s flyweight title at UFC 231 in Toronto. The fight was signed and announced, but earlier today that all changed. ESPN’s Brett Okomato tweeted that Shevchenko would be taking on Sijara Eubanks as the main event for UFC 230 at MSG. The news was shocking to many MMA fans, some stating they didn’t even know who she was. While Joe Rogan was recording his podcast when it was announced and said he didn’t even know who Eubanks is.

Unsurprisingly, many fans began to speculate that McGregor could be dealing with a staph infection or some other issue. Speaking on Ariel Helwani’s MMA Show on Monday, Conor McGregor explained that this injury was no cause for concern. It’s simply a small wound that he sustained when one of his sparring partner’s teeth got “embedded” in his finger.

It’s me.’ Actually, it’s not true. That’s the performance-enhancing drugs that threw the kick, because you wouldn’t have thrown the kick [like that] if you would have not taken them. You know what I mean? So to give you an example, it makes you more creative, it makes you more hungry. It changes the physique.
