The Prime Minister of Ireland, Leo Varadkar, does not want to be associated with Conor McGregor and his unlawful actions. Varadkar, who is the current Taoiseach of Ireland, was recently accused of snubbing the UFC star during last week’s St. Patrick’s Day march in Chicago.

Ben Askren travelled to London this past weekend with intentions of confronting former UFC welterweight title challenger Darren Till. The rivals, who have gone back and forth on social media for months, actually had a brief encounter at the UFC London weigh-ins.

Back in January, Henry Cejudo defended his flyweight title when he knocked out T.J. Dillashaw in 32 seconds. Following the fight, it was expected that Cejudo would move up in weight to rematch Dillashaw for the bantamweight title. However, news came out on Tuesday that Dillashaw will be suspended for a year for ‘adverse findings’ in his pre-fight drug test sample.

If Pettis can spring the upset on Wonderboy, it will open the door to dozens of exciting matchups in the stacked UFC welterweight division. One matchup that seems to be off the table for Pettis, however, is a pairing with fellow Roufusport talent Ben Askren.
Frank Shamrock responds to reports of animal cruelty investigation

On Thursday night, WFAA-TV in Dallas reported that inaugural UFC light heavyweight champion Frank Shamrock was being investigated for animal cruelty after tying his mother’s dog Zelda to the back of a parked pickup truck and abandoning it at an airport for five days. Shamrock actually admitted to this incident, explaining that he first tried to find a home for the dog, and only decided to forsake the animal, which he says has a “goofy hip,” when he was unable to find a more suitable alternative.

Conor McGregor recently divulged that he’s in negotiations for a return to the cage this July, but that he’s also still seeking an ownership stake in the UFC. Former UFC welterweight champ Tyron Woodley, who just lost the title to Kamaru Usman, doesn’t believe McGregor is in a position to be making these kinds of demands. In an interview with TMZ, Woodley suggested McGregor fight him first. If the Irishman is able to clear that huge hurdle, he’ll be in a much more favorable position.
