The octagon will be under the bright lights of Bridgestone Arena this evening for UFC Nashville: Pettis vs. Thompson.
The event is headlined by a welterweight bout featuring former division title challenger Stephen Thompson taking on former lightweight champ Anthony Pettis.
Pettis will fight at welterweight for the first time since 2008 when he squares off with “Wonderboy” this evening.
Meanwhile, Stephen Thompson will also enter tonight’s UFC Nashville main event looking to rebound. “Wonderboy” suffered a controversial decision loss to Darren Till in his most recent octagon appearance in May of 2018.
The co-main event of the evening features a heavyweight bout between division staples Curtis Blaydes and Justin Willis.
Blaydes (10-2 MMA) recently had his impressive five-fight win streak come to a stop at the hands of Francis Ngannou.
As for “Big Pretty”, Justin Willis (8-1 MMA) has won eight fights in a row, his latest being a unanimous decision win over MMA legend Mark Hunt.
