Paddy Pimblett calls for future rematch against Justin Gaethje after UFC 324

UFC star Paddy Pimblett has called for a future rematch against Justin Gaethje after their battle at UFC 324.

At UFC 324, Paddy Pimblett attempted to become the new UFC interim lightweight champion. Unfortunately for him, he ran into a motivated Justin Gaethje who picked up the win via unanimous decision. It was quite the beating that ‘The Baddy’, to the point where he was sent to hospital in the aftermath of the contest.

For Pimblett, this was certainly an important experience for him to go through as he attempts to learn, grow and fight his way back to the championship level. It’s not clear as to what’s next in terms of future opponents, but you’d have to think Dan Hooker is an option that’s on the table.

In a recent video on his channel, Pimblett made it known that he’s interested in a rematch with Gaethje down the line.

Pimblett wants future Gaethje rematch

“The only thing that’s wrong with me is my eyeballs from fingernails scratching my eyeballs,” Pimblett said in his new video. “But you know, we get on with it… I haven’t watched it back yet, I’m still quite annoyed at myself and quite a lot of other things surrounding the fight but we’ll watch it back.

“Hats off to him, I hope he wins the undisputed title off Ilia and hopefully we can run it back, even though I don’t think he has too many fights left.

“Hopefully we can run it back in future because there’s a couple of things in that fight that have p—– me off. I just hope that in the future he can step up and have a rematch with me.”
