Conor McGregor claims he’s just in his prime now ahead of UFC 329 return: ‘It’s a masterpiece on July 11th’

Conor McGregor vows to put on a ‘masterpiece’ against Max Holloway at UFC 329.
McGregor is set to rematch Holloway in the main event of UFC 329 on Saturday, which is a highly anticipated bout. The bout serves as McGregor’s first since he broke his leg in the trilogy fight against Dustin Poirier five years ago.
Although McGregor is on a five-year layoff and hasn’t won in over six years, he feels like he’s just entering his prime now.
“I feel there’s so much left for me to conquer in this game,” McGregor said on UFC 329 Countdown. “So much more accolades. More belts, more knockouts, more records, more cash. I am taking everything of what I have built. The fight game in the combat sports world is McGregor’s world. And I’m in my prime here now. So it is on me now to go and show that. And that’s what I will do.”
It does seem unlikely that Conor McGregor is in his prime at 37, and soon to be 38 in a week. However, the Irishman does seem to be taking his training seriously ahead of his return.
Conor McGregor oozing with confidence ahead of UFC 329
With McGregor being confident in his skills and how he’s preparing, he expects to beat Max Holloway again at UFC 329 and put on a masterpiece.
“Holloway, I’ve faced him before,” McGregor said. “Took many lessons from that beating I gave him onward in his career. And then went on to do great things. Now I love it because he’s fought so many men. And they’ve fought him a certain way, and it’s gone a certain way. So now returns McGregor to show once again the level and the difference. That’s it. It’s a masterpiece on July 11th. A McGregor masterpiece.”
Conor McGregor enters UFC 329 as the betting underdog and on a two-fight losing streak.
