UFC 327 Results: Josh Hokit defeats Curtis Blaydes (Highlights)

We have you covered for all of tonight’s UFC 327 results, including the heavyweight bout between Curtis Blaydes and Josh Hokit.

Blaydes (19-5 MMA) will be returning to action for the first time since earning a split decision win over Rizvan Kuniev this past June in Baku. Prior to that triumph, ‘Razor’ was coming off a first-round knockout loss to Tom Aspinall (see that here).

Meanwhile, Josh Hokit (8-0 MMA) will enter tonight’s fight sporting an undefeated professional record of 8-0. ‘The Incredible Hok’ was most recently seen in action at January’s UFC 324 event, where he scored a first-round TKO victory over Denzel Freeman.

Round one of this UFC 327 main card heavyweight bout begins and Josh Hokit lands a big right hand to start. Curtis Blaydes answers with a big combination. Somehow Hokit lands another big right and ‘Razor’ is rocked. ‘The Incredible Hok’ comes forward with more big shots. Blaydes is on wobbly legs. Hokit continues to rock him. Blaydes desperately shoots for a takedown and gets it. Josh Hokit scrambles right back to his feet. Curtis Blaydes with a nice combination and then is able to score another takedown. Hokit quickly scrambles back up to his feet. Blaydes stays on him and takes his back against the cage. Two minutes remain in the round. Both men look tired. Blaydes with a three-punch combination. Josh Hokit flips him off. Blaydes with a big combination. He’s just unloading shots. Hokit is still standing. This is crazy. He tries a big right hand but misses. Blaydes pushes him against the cage. He works some body shots, but he’s clearly gassed. Hokit breaks free to range and gives the finger yet again. Blaydes with a right hand and then an uppercut. The horn sounds and somehow we are going to a second round.

Round two of this UFC 327 heavyweight matchup begins and Curtis Blaydes lands a jab. Josh Hokit answers with two right hands. Blaydes with a nice left. He shoots for a takedown, but Hokit stuffs it and gets back to range. A nice right from Josh. ‘Razor’ answers with two good shots. A big left hand lands for ‘The Incredible Hok’. Two uppercuts follow. Blaydes is hurt again. He lands an uppercut and then lunges forward with a pair of jabs. Hokit continues to use his left hand. He eats a big right from Blaydes. Big uppercuts from both men. Josh Hokit with a big combination. Curtis is rocked and backed against the cage. Under two minutes remain in the round. A huge combination from Blaydes now. He lands two hard low kicks. This is an absolute war. The fighters clinch and Curtis Blaydes goes to the body with punches. He follows those shots up with a clean uppercut to the chin. A nice knee in return by Hokit. Blaydes with a right hand and then an uppercut. Both men with big right hands late. The horn sounds to end round two.

The third and final round begins and Josh Hokit lands a three-punch combination. Curtis Blaydes counters with a big 1-2 and then a hard low kick. The fighters clinch and ‘Razor’ works some uppercuts. The fighters break and Hokit lands three straight jabs over the top. Blaydes with a big left hook. ‘The Incredible Hok’ with a nice left. Blaydes with a 1-2 in return. How these guys are still standing is beyond me. Midway point of the final round. A good jab from Blaydes. Big elbows in the clinch by Josh Hokit. ‘Razor’ separates and lands a big right. Both men land combinations in close. Hokit with a good 1-2. Blaydes answers with two big rights. Under one minute remains. A good combination from Hokit. He pushes Blaydes against the cage and unloads a standing elbow. More punches in bunches from Josh. The horn sounds to end one of the wildest heavyweight fights of all time.
