UFC 327 Results: Dominick Reyes defeats Johnny Walker

We have you covered for all of tonight’s UFC 327 results, including the light heavyweight bout between Dominick Reyes and Johnny Walker.

Reyes (16-5 MMA) will enter the bout looking to rebound, this after suffering a knockout loss to Carlos Ulberg in his most recent Octagon appearance this past September in Perth. Prior to that setback, ‘The Devastator’ had reeled off three straight victories, scoring stoppage wins over Dustin Jacoby, Anthony Smith and Nikita Krylov.

Meanwhile, Johnny Walker (22-10) was last seen in action this past August in Shanghai, where he earned a second-round TKO victory over Zhang Mingyang. That win was preceded by back-to-back knockout losses against Volkan Oezdemir and Magomed Ankalaev.

Round one of this UFC 327 main card light heavyweight contest begins and Johnny Walker starts with some low kicks. Dominick Reyes returns fire with a right hand over the top followed by a high kick that misses. Another pair of low kicks from Walker. Reyes attempts a spinning kick that misses. Johnny continues to use his low kicks. He lands a jab. ‘The Devastator’ answers with a left hook. He switches stances and lands a jab. Another low kick from Walker. Reyes answers with one of his own. Another low kick from Johnny Walker. The fighters both throw big hooks in the pocket but neither man connects. Walker with a high kick which is blocked by Dominick Reyes. The Brazilian circles and looks to pick his shots from range. He lands a pair of low kicks. He’s landed eleven of those thus far in the opening round. Reyes misses with a kick up the middle. The crowd is getting restless. Reyes with another jab. Walker answers with a pair of low kicks. Dominick with a left kick to the body. Walker looks to close the distance. The horn sounds to end round one.

Round two of this light heavyweight matchup begins and Dominick Reyes looks to press forward early. He lands a kick up the middle. Johnny Walker answers with a low kick. He throws another. Reyes with a decent left. That appeared to get Walker’s attention. ‘The Devastator’ with a head kick that partially connects. More low kicks from Walker. He doesn’t appear to have much interest in punching so far. Reyes with a check left hook and then a kick up the middle. This is surprising fight. A lot of fans and pundits expected an early finish. Reyes misses with a hook. Walker shoots in for a takedown. Dominick stuffs it and then lands a nice left hand on the break. The horn sounds to end round two.

The third and final round of this UFC 327 main card contest begins and Dominick Reyes continues to work his jab and left hands while Johnny Walker seems happy to just throw low kicks. Not a ton of action unfortunately. Reyes landing more low kicks this round. Neither man is fighting with any intent to finish. A total of ten combined head shots. Walker with a kick to the body. Reyes with a body kick. Johnny looks to take the fight to the ground. The horn sounds to end this glorified sparring session.
