This weekend, Jedrzejczyk will look to make it five straight title defenses as she steps into the Octagon against Jessica Andrade this weekend at UFC 211. With that being said, the champ hasn’t forgotten about her ultimate goal, to become the first UFC women’s two-division champion now that the UFC has created a women’s flyweight division.

With this win, Namajunas seems to have earned herself a shot at the winner of Joanna Jedrzejczyk and Jessica Andrade’s upcoming strawweight title fight, which will serve as the co-main event of UFC 211 on May 13 in Dallas, Texas. On Monday’s edition of The MMA Hour, Namajunas weighed in on the possibility of a strawweight title fight – particularly on a potential showdown with the current champ Jedrzejczyk, who does not seem to be a fan of hers.

Recently, Andrade questioned the champ’s chin, claiming that Jedrzejczyk has a weak chin, and can be shut down with unrelenting pressure. Those comments caught the champ off guard given that she and Andrade’s manager, who used to also manage Jedrzejczyk, were once very close.

This May, in the co-main event of UFC 211, dominant UFC strawweight champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk will attempt to make the fifth defense of her title against dangerous Brazilian contender Jessica Andrade. While Jedrzejczyk’s victory against an opponent of Andrade’s caliber is far from guaranteed, she is already looking ahead to her next challenge as UFC strawweight queen. On a recent episode of The MMA Hour, Jedrzejczyk explained that, if she beats Andrade, she expects her next challenger to be “The Karate Hottie” Michelle Waterson. For this to happen, Waterson will first have to defeat the ever-dangerous Rose Namajunas, who she’s scheduled to fight this April.

According to a report from Poland’s Sport.pl, the next fight of Joanna Jedrzejczyk’s incredible reign as UFC strawweight champion will occur at UFC 211, on May 13 in Dallas, Texas. This challenge will be provided by streaking Brazilian contender Jessica Andrade. When we last saw Jedrzejczyk in action, she defeated fellow Polish striker Karolina Kowalkiewicz in the first of three title fights on November’s UFC 205 lineup. This win marked her fourth consecutive defense of the UFC strawweight title. She proceeded this fourth defense with decision wins over Claudia Gadelha and Valerie Letourneau, a bloody TKO defeat of Jessica Penne, and a second-round bludgeoning of Carla Esparza, which earned her the divisional crown. The strawweight queen currently owns a flawless pro record of 13-0.

Van Soest fought twice on December 10 in the Women’s Super-Bantamweight Grand Prix to claim the title. Van Soest first met Jessica Gladstone in the semifinal, taking a unanimous decision win and then picked up another unanimous decision win over Amel Dehby in the tournament final to become the division’s champion.

Last weekend, the UFC made its long awaited debut in New York City with UFC 205. To celebrate this Big Apple debut, the organization stacked the card with massive fights, including a whopping three title bouts. The first of these title bouts saw reigning strawweight champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk attempt the fourth defense of her title opposite fellow Polish star Karolina Kowalkiewicz. Though she was wobbled by Kowalkiewicz in the fourth round, the strawweight queen was dominant throughout the rest of her fight, and would ultimately leave New York City with a unanimous decision win, and her title.
