Invicta 14 Results: Tonya Evinger Dominates Kianzad, Finishes Her In The Second

By BJPENN.COM News - September 12, 2015

In the first round of the non-title fight (due to Pannie Kianzad missing weight), they came out aggressive.

It’s disappointing this fight is no longer for the title, but still, both women wanted to come out and put on a good show. They exchanged on the feet until the champ managed to get the fight to the ground. From there it was really all Evinger. She worked for an amrbar several times. She couldn’t get it, so just kept position and fired off ground and pound. The first round was all Evinger.

Right out of the gate in round 2, Evinger landed a big punch and Kianzad went down. Evinger jumped on her on the mat. She easily moved around and passed guard. It was really just a brutal beatdown.

Evinger eventually moved to the mount and from there it was basically a rap.

The referee kept a close eye on the fight and eventually stopped it. Kianzad really couldn’t do anything. Dominating performance for the champ. Kianzad still has some work to do.

RESULT: Tonya Evinger def. Pannie Kianzad by TKO (strikes). Round 2, 3:34
