Ian Machado Garry has called Belal Muhammad an idiot over how he approached his title fight against Jack Della Maddalena.
At UFC Qatar next month, Ian Machado Garry will go head to head with Belal Muhammad in a fight he’s been pursuing for quite some time now. While Belal is known for his strong wrestling prowess, he lost the UFC welterweight championship in his last outing at the hands of Jack Della Maddalena.

For long spells of the fight, Muhammad opted to stay on the feet and strike with JDM. If he attempts to do the same thing with Machado Garry, there’s a good chance that he could end the evening staring up at the lights. Then again, if he’s able to implement his wrestling early on, it could go in the complete opposite direction.
In a recent video on Instagram, Machado Garry made sure to criticize Muhammad over how he performed in his defeat to Della Maddalena.

“Belal Muhammad, when he was defending his title in Montreal, Canada, thought that he could outbox a boxer,” Garry said on his Instagram. “He was an idiot and he was wrong. I hope he thinks he can try do that to me. It would make my life easier.”
