Cris Cyborg continues to campaign for her fight against former UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey.

Cyborg was a guest on FS1’s “Speak For Yourself” and talked about the fight that could actually be closer to happening now that Cyborg is fighting in the UFC.

“My last fight, I broke the nose of the girl in three places,” Cyborg told Jason Whitlock (transcribed by MMA Fighting). “Sure, if I fight her she’ll have to do surgery on her face after. I’m not kidding.”

Cyborg says that Ronda is afraid to even say her name, as the Invicta featherweight champion claims that it will result in their bout being arranged.

“Ronda doesn’t say anything,” Cyborg said. “She doesn’t even say my name. She used [UFC president] Dana White and her mother to talk to me, because she knows if she says my name, she’ll have to fight me. She knows this.”

Cyborg has had two 140-pound catchweight fights in the UFC, winning both by stoppages.

Rousey has not fought since November of last year where she suffered the first loss of her professional career against Holly Holm. Even with Rousey being absent from the MMA scene, Cyborg is still making sure to keep their potential match in the minds of fans.

Ronda Rousey serious

“I watched her do shadow box and the shadow won,” Cyborg stated. “Maybe that means when Mike Tyson lose his fight by KO, he never the same. Maybe it means that Ronda lost her last fight and she’s never the same. But not because she KOs people. She never did this.”
