Since it was announced that Brock Lesnar and Jon Jones failed drug tests prior to, and after, UFC 200 there has been much speculation as to how long both men would be suspended, and whether or not they would face fines.

Mark Hunt, who fought Lesnar at UFC 200, also demanded 100% of Lesnar’s whopping $2.5 million disclosed salary for the event for fighting someone who failed a drug test before the fight, and the night of the fight.

Saturday morning it was announced that the UFC would not be fining either man, but would instead be allowing the state athletic commissions to determine whether or not to issue a fine according to MMAFighting.

In addition, it was revealed earlier this week that if Lesnar chose to not pay the fine with the intention of never applying for another license to fight, the NSAC could pass the case along to the Nevada State Treasury, having them collect the fine from Lesnar.

Stay tuned for updates as they become available.
