Tonight’s UFC 325 event was co-headlined by a highly anticipated lightweight bout between Dan Hooker and Benoit Saint Denis.

Hooker (24-14 MMA) had entered tonight’s contest looking to rebound, this after suffering a one-sided submission loss to Arman Tsarukyan in his most recent Octagon appearance this past November. Prior to that setback, ‘The Hangman’ had put together a three-fight win streak, which included victories over Jalin Turner and Mateusz Gamrot.

Meanwhile, Benoit Saint Denis (17-3 MMA) entered this evening’s contest sporting a three-fight winning streak, his most recent triumph being a 16-second knockout victory over Beneil Dariush this past November at UFC 322. ‘God of War’ had earned finishes in all three of his most recent UFC appearances.

Tonight’s UFC 325 co-main event resulted in another impressive showing for the streaking Frenchman in Benoit Saint Denis. Despite eating some hard body kicks, ‘God of War’ was able to control Dan Hooker on the ground and eventually was able to lock in a fight-ending arm-triangle choke late in round two. The win marked BSD’s fourth in row.
