Tafa (6-5 MMA) will be returning to action for the first time since suffering a submission loss to Tuco Tokkos this past July in Nashville. The Octagon returns to Sydney for tonight’s UFC 325 event, a 13-bout fight card headlined by Alex Volkanovski vs. Diego Lopes 2. Volkanovski (27-4 MMA) will be returning to action for the first time since reclaiming the promotion‘s featherweight title with a unanimous decision win over Lopes at last April’s UFC 314 event in Miami. That victory snapped a two-fight losing skid for ‘The Great’, as Volk had previously suffered back-to-back knockout losses at the hands of Ilia Topuria and Islam Makhachev respectively.

Diego Lopes has responded after numerous fighters criticized his newly announced title fight rematch with Alex Volkanovski at UFC 325. On Thanksgiving UFC CEO Dana White announced a plethora of marquee matchups for next year’s UFC 324 and UFC 325 events.

Alexander Volkanovski openly admits that he feels other fighters were “more deserving” of a title fight at UFC 325 when compared to Diego Lopes. Volkanovski (27-4 MMA) will look to defend his featherweight title in a rematch against Lopes (27-7 MMA) in the headliner of UFC 325 on February 1st in Sydney, Australia. The pair first collided at UFC 314 this past April, with ‘The Great’ ultimately regaining the then vacant featherweight strap with a unanimous decision victory.
