UFC fighter Josh Hokit claims double standard amid backlash for Michelle Obama comment: “Kiss my ass, everyone”

Josh Hokit believes there is a double standard when it comes to those who are criticizing him for his comment on Michelle Obama during the UFC Freedom 250 broadcast.
Hokit competed against Derrick Lewis on the White House lawn and delivered a second-round TKO finish. The win improved Hokit’s pro MMA record to 10-0, but it was his post-fight interview with Joe Rogan that got the attention of the mainstream media. At the end of the interview, Hokit grabbed the mic and said, “Michelle Obama is a man.”
As one would expect, there was a slew of buzz surrounding the comments. Hokit has fired back at those who take issue with what he said, as he feels there is hypocrisy and bias at play. He explained why in a post on his X account.
“No outrage when you say, ‘Melania Trump is an escort,'” Hokit wrote. “No outrage when you say, ‘Charlie Kirk brought his death upon himself,’ or ‘Charlie Kirk deserved to die.’ So, KISS MY ASS, EVERYONE.”
Hokit has developed a reputation for playing up a heel persona during press conferences and interviews. UFC CEO Dana White has admitted he isn’t a fan of Hokit’s antics, but he believes results inside the Octagon are what truly matters. Thus far, Hokit has been passing every test thrown at him.
Recently, Alex Pereira told Ariel Helwani that if he’s presented with an opportunity to fight Hokit, then he will take it. Hokit has tried ruffling the feathers of “Poatan” since the build to UFC Freedom 250, telling Pereira he wants to “Chama on your momma.” Pereira has fired back, questioning if Hokit has an estranged relationship with his family.
What do you make of Josh Hokit’s antics over the past few months? Are you entertained by the persona, or is it a bit too over the top? Sound off in the comments below.
