Michael Bisping scolds Alex Pereira for ‘complaining, crying’ about alleged fouls in Ciryl Gane fight

FC Hall of Famer Michael Bisping criticized Alex Pereira’s recent media tour following his TKO loss to Ciryl Gane.
Former two-division UFC champion Alex Pereira suffered just the second stoppage loss of his promotional tenure to Ciryl Gane on Sunday at UFC Freedom 250. In his highly anticipated heavyweight debut, Pereira struggled with Gane’s power and movement en route to a second-round TKO loss.
Gane landed what appeared to be several elbows to the back of Pereira’s head with referee Herb Dean watching closely. In the hours after UFC Freedom 250, Pereira has accused Gane of cheating and pushed for UFC CEO Dana White to ‘fire’ Dean from officiating future fights.
After initially teasing a potential appeal of the fight, Pereira and his team have since backed down from that assertion and are looking ahead to returning later this year, either at light heavyweight or heavyweight. But Michael Bisping believes Pereira is making a huge mistake in his handling of the aftermath of the Gane fight.
Michael Bisping questions Alex Pereira for ‘complaining’ about alleged fouls
In a recent video uploaded to his YouTube channel, Bisping reacted to Pereira’s post-fight comments following UFC Freedom 250.
“Listen, he lost the fight, there’s no shame in that whatsoever. But sitting there, complaining and crying about it, and going on about how he was fouled, it’s just not a good look,” Bisping said of Pereira.
“I don’t know who is advising him and letting him say this, but someone should pull him aside and tell him he was beaten. Fair and squared. Ciryl Gane wasn’t getting tired, by the way, that’s another thing Alex Pereira said…that that’s why he was lying on the floor after the fight.
“I’ve lain on the floor after many of my fights, because it’s done! It’s over!” Bisping continued on Pereira. “All of the pressure, training that you’ve done leading into this moment. It was all worthwhile.”
