Ilia Topuria vs Justin Gaethje is wasting my time, says UFC contender Arman Tsarukyan

Arman Tsarukyan has given his thoughts on the UFC Freedom 250 main event between Ilia Topuria and Justin Gaethje.

As we know, Arman Tsarukyan is a pretty controversial individual within the Ultimate Fighting Championship. It’s got nothing to do with his fighting ability, which is clearly excellent, but instead has everything to do with some of the back and forth issues he has had with the promotion in recent times.

Despite that, Tsarukyan has been staying active away from the cage, trying to prove to the UFC that he is ready for a title shot – or, at the very least, a big number one contender fight that will allow him to really earn his way to the top of the mountain.

In a recent interview, Tsarukyan gave his thoughts on the recently announced UFC lightweight championship fight between Ilia Topuria and Justin Gaethje, which is set to take place at the White House this summer.

Tsarukyan discusses UFC Freedom 250 main event

“Ilia vs. Gaethje is a good fight, but no chance to Gaethje,” Tsarukyan told UFC Europe. “Ilia has better boxing, and I think he’s going to knock him out. They just waste my time. They got to put me vs. Ilia, and I’ll take his belt. Easy money for me.”

There’s no denying that Arman is doing everything in his power to stay active off the back of another side quest last night in the form of a submission win over Muhammad Mokaev. Alas, it all comes down to the relationship he has with Dana White, because if that doesn’t improve, he won’t be sniffing a world title shot anytime soon.
