UFC star Sean O’Malley has given his assessment of the overall quality of the UFC Freedom 250 card.

As we now know, Sean O’Malley will face off against Aiemann Zahabi as part of the UFC White House event later this year. It will serve as Sean’s latest opportunity to prove that he deserves another crack at the UFC bantamweight title, but many were left disappointed by the Zahabi announcement, and would have preferred to see Cory Sandhagen get that spot.

Regardless of which camp you fall into, there’s no denying that it’s nice to see O’Malley being booked once again. Some believe he should eventually make the switch to featherweight, but for the time being, it’s not unrealistic to think that he could still cause some damage at 135 pounds.

In a recent podcast, O’Malley gave his thoughts on the overall strength of the card, set to be headlined by Ilia Topuria vs Justin Gaethje.

O’Malley’s view on UFC Freedom 250 card

“White House card, not being a White House card, just a numbered event, people would be like, holy s***, this is a good card. The fact that it is the White House card and we were promised some crazy s***, it was a little similar to the Sphere.

“It was like, I mean, we got our hopes up too much, I think. But if you add Charles [Oliveira] to this, this could make up for it.”

This certainly seems to be the most popular opinion from mixed martial arts fans, and it’ll be interesting to see whether or not another fight is eventually added as we get closer and closer to the big event.
